There is a war going on in the unseen world between good and evil. That war plays out, in part, here on earth, and Christians are a major target. One of the enemy's strategies is to use the Word Of God to condemn believers and keep them powerless. Above all, the Christian must not be allowed to remember Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Stop a minute and think of that: no condemnation. Let's say that again: no condemnation, and again: no condemnation. It's pretty clear what no condemnation means. Yet believers are constantly condemning themselves for missing the mark, for failing to be all they should be. Whenever this happens, you can know one thing for certain: the enemy is using the the Law Of God to condemn the believer. Yes, the enemy will actually quote scripture, if he thinks it can cause the believer to turn his back on grace. For grace and truth and love are in the Lord Jesus (1 Timothy 1:14) and we are instructed in Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. and in Ephesians 4:24 ... that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Condemnation and self doubt are constantly being promoted by the enemy to keep the believer from ever revealing the life of God that it is within him. If any of this touches you in areas of your life where you recognize the enemy's hands at work, I want you to make this confession with me, out loud, with your mouth: I am no longer a natural man who is unable to receive. I am a new creation in Christ. I have put on the new man God has created in righteousness and holiness. I am free to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit and reveal the life of God within me. All condemnation is gone, and I dwell in grace. I stand ready to do the works of Jesus and the greater works He promised I would do. And remember, friend, we're standing with you and believing God for His very best in every area of your life - and that includes your complete prosperity.
