In John 6:63 Jesus said It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. I believe we have not seen the depth of what Jesus said here. He was saying, "There is Spirit and life in the words I speak." Think for a minute of what that says about the words He didn't speak, One thing we can know for sure is that those words do not contain Spirit or Life. That's why it's important that we agree with what God says about us and say what He says. It will change our lives, when we do. Words are powerful, and words can also work against you. Words that have no Spirit or life can create wrong images. They can transmit fear. Negative fear-filled words produce fear. But positive, faith-filled words produce faith. Matthew 12:34 teaches us that ...out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. So, first and foremost, we're going to have to establish our hearts with faith-filled, not fear-filled words. Once we do that we are truly in position to understand why Jesus said ...the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life. Through the words that He spoke, Jesus was transmitting the spirit of faith and life that was in Him to you and me. That's why the Apostle Paul could say in Romans 8:2 For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death That life was transmitted from Jesus to Paul by God's Word - by the words Jesus spoke. Now you can see how hearing wrong words can transmit wrong images to your heart. Wrong words that do not line up with the Word Of God produce death. In Mark 4:24 Jesus warned His disciples to ...take heed what ye hear; with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. When you heed Jesus' exhortation to listen to right teaching, you broaden the base of your information concerning the truth of God's Word and that, in turn, will broaden the base of your life experience concerning those truths. When you know and say what God's Word says, the words you speak will be God's words, and those words will change your world. And remember, friend, we're standing with you and believing God for His very best in every area of your life - and that includes your complete prosperity.
