Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. Jesus is talking here about agreement on God's Word and seeing its promises come to pass in our lives. In any given week there are 600 to 800 readers of this newsletter who are in a position to agree together about the things of God and His will for Words Of Life Church. When we pray a promise of scripture, we have Jesus's promise that it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. Isn't it time we took a step up and started operating on that level? Let's begin with the Sunday church service and three key elements of that service: Praise, Worship and Preaching. Look at God's instruction about those three areas: Psalm 111:1 Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. Psalm 29:2 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name. Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. Numbers 22:38 NLT Balaam replied, "Look, now I have come, but I have no power to say whatever I want. I will speak only the message that God puts in my mouth." We now know God's will for our Sunday service. He wants the total focus of the service to be on Him with praise flowing from the very heart of His people. The worship is to bring glory to His name, because we have clothed ourselves in righteousness and offer up our worship in the beauty of holiness. The preaching is to be the faithful proclamation of God's Word. The words that follow are a prayer for this coming Sunday. Take five minutes to pray them with us and reflect on the fact that you are uniting with 600 to 800 others who are standing in agreement with you. Father. we bring this Sunday's service before you and pray that each of our hearts will sing and speak forth your praise, that our worship will bring glory to your name and that You would be pleased to speak a clear message to us through the lips of our pastor. We pray this in Jesus's Name and thank you for performing what You promise. You have just thanked God for performing what He has promised.
