Matters Of The Heart - Debt Cancelled

Hello Everyone,

One of the happiest times at Words Of Life Church was the day Pastor Geri tore up the mortgage on the church property Click the "Send To A Friend", or Subscribe Box (Click Here)  on the left and share these thoughts with someone who needs to know about.

How strange it would have been if the next week Pastor Geri spoke of the concerns she had about the mortgage payments.  No-one would have understood.  The debt had been cancelled.  No further mortgage payments were required - ever!.  Yet, that same principle is at work in the Body Of Christ, and very few are decreeing and declaring "Stop!", Our debt to the Law has been cancelled.

Think of the Christians you know who are concerned that they are not living a life that is pleasing to God, who feel the harder they try, the more they fail.  They are trying to keep the Law of God and fail to realize that the Law no longer places any demands on them whatever.  Listen to what God says in Colossians 2:14 AMP Having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees and demands which was in force and stood against us (hostile to us).  This [note with its regulations, decrees, and demands] He set aside and cleared completely out of our way by nailing it to [His] cross.

Now think of those same Christians, surrendering to the Grace of God, and finally recognizing that in place of any debt to the Law, they had been declared righteous and could never, ever again, come under God's condemnation.  Just picture the liberty in which they would walk.  That's what the scripture means when it says in John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. And it's what James was talking about in James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

It's time for all of us to move in the perfect law of liberty, so declare with me, Father, I'm not a forgetful hearer.  I stand in the finished work of Jesus on the cross and know my debt has been cancelled.  Let Your blessing on my life be a lamp to all that do not know You.  And remember, friend, we're standing with you and believing God for His very best in every area of your life - and that includes your complete prosperity.

Until next week,

2 Peter 1:2  May God’s grace and peace be multiplied
to you through the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
