Matters Of The Heart - Right And Wrong Confession

Hello Everyone,

When it comes to receiving from God biblically, there is a right confession and a wrong confession.  Click the "Send To A Friend", or Subscribe Box (Click Here)  on the left and share these thoughts with someone who needs to know how to receive God's total blessing.

Mark 11:22-23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

What you say is your confession.  But your confession is also something else.  It is confirming something you believe.  It is witnessing for a truth you embrace.  Take, for example, the confession of Jesus' lordship in your life, Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

God planned that the great life Jesus came to give should be obtained by the world through testimony.  But you cannot testify, witness, or confess about things that you do not know about.  In a court of law, when you give evidence, you must know what you're talking about.  You must have the right information.  And the same holds true spiritually.  You must have the right information.

In pleading your case before the throne of God, it's essential that you know personally who you are and what you have in Christ.  You are not a poor, weak, staggering soul, just barely getting by and struggling to make it in life.  2 Corinthians 5:17 says you are a new creature in Christ, created anew with the life, nature and ability of God within you.  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:  old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  Through Jesus, you can now have unbroken fellowship with the Father, as long as it is His Word, not yours, coming out of your mouth.  Psalm 119:130 says The entrance of thy words giveth light....  Your positive, faith-filled confession of God's Word will throw light on life's problems, change circumstances, and enable you to act wisely in all the affairs of life.

So, make this bold declaration with me I am not afraid of circumstances, because I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.  Not only is He my strength, He's my salvation.  Whom shall I fear?  (Philippians 4:13; Psalm 27:1.)  And remember, friend, we're standing with you and believing God for His very best in every area of your life - and that includes your complete prosperity.

Until next week,

2 Peter 1:2  May God’s grace and peace be multiplied
to you through the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
