Matters Of The Heart - Laws Of Confession

Hello Everyone,

This is Pastor Rick with a request that you click the "Send To A Friend" link, or Subscribe Box (Click Here) on the left and make sure that any friends, who have never fully understood the importance of their words, read Your Future Is In Your Words.

The Focused Mouth

One of the earliest lessons we need to learn as new believers is the importance of the Law Of Confession:  the creative power and eternal value of our words.  Matthew 12:36  warns us But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  As believers we are going to have to value our words in a new way and understand the creative power they now possess.

That creative power was demonstrated when God formed the heavens and the earth and told us in Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.  God used His words (spiritual things that are not seen) to create the physical universe (natural things that are seen.)

That same power came to reside in us, when the Holy Spirit indwelt us at the new birth.  Now, our words have the ability to bring life as well as death, and we must constantly choose which it will be.  Our words are the most powerful things on earth.  They can change and rearrange anything for good or for evil.  Speak life, and they will bring us blessing.  Speak death, and they will bring sorrow and calamity to our lives.  Matthew 12:37  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.  We must, at all times, pay heed to what is coming out of our mouths, because therein lies our destiny.

If these few thoughts have changed your focus about the power of your words, then make this confession with me.  I am a child of God, created in His image as a speaking spirit.  I pay heed to what I say and speak only those words that tend to life and Godliness.  I recognize that my words have power to heal and to harm.  I will do no harm with the words I speak.   I choose to shape my future with Words of Life.  And remember, friend, we're standing with you and believing God for His very best in every area of your life - and that includes your complete prosperity.

Until next week,

2 Peter 1:2   May God’s grace and peace be multiplied
to you through the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
