In our last letter we talked about concentrating your Focus on the Issues of your lives in order to bring about changes. In this letter we will touch on the choices you must make in order to concentrate that Focus. Ever since you were children you have been taught to choose between “right” or “wrong.” And that was good teaching and needed to acquaint you with God’s law and His order. But when you became a Christian, you became a totally new creation no longer subject to the law of sin and death, but set free to live under the law of life in Christ Jesus. As part of that new creation your choices can no longer be between right or wrong but must now be between life or death. Once you make that switch in your Decision Making Process, concentrating your Focus will become less difficult and increasingly open up the new way of living the Bible promises. Phillipians 3:15 Msg So let's keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision--you'll see it yet! The one thing we do constantly each day while we are awake is think. And to do that we use our minds. The Christian, unlike the world, has two minds available to use, the mind of the flesh, and the mind of Christ. The mind of the flesh is influenced, and often controlled, by our circumstances, our feelings and our desires. The mind of Christ is influenced only by the Word of God. As Christians we are told which mind to use (Phillipians 2:5) Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. and how we are to use it (Romans 12:2) Be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. We have already been given the complete blueprint for the victorious life. Our task is to keep Focused on the mind of Christ and the Word of God that deals with the specific Issues of our lives and then draw upon the power inherent in that Word to shape our destinies. To operate in the Mind of Christ, you must make a decision to do so. And a real decision is measured by the fact that you’ve taken new action. If there’s no action, you haven’t truly decided. So what action do you need to take? You must open your mouths and say, “I will operate in the mind of Christ and deal with the issues of my heart by confronting them with the Word of God.” And you can’t just say that once but must keep affirming it until it becomes an operational principle in your lives. In consistency therein lies the power. And remember, friend, we're standing with you and believing God for His very best in every area of your life - and that includes your complete prosperity.
