Keys to winning Every Race

Hello Everyone,

This is Pastor Rick with another week of Power Moments In The Word.  Today, we'll be looking at two verses of Scripture that can turn defeat into victory for any believer who is determined to be a winner in life.  Look now at what God says about Guarding The Heart.

Proverbs 16:23 says The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, and adds learning to his lips. And Proverbs 4:23 NLT says Guard your heart above all else - for it determines the course of your life.

Meditate on those two verses and consider what they are teaching.  YOUR heart, filled with God's Word can add learning to YOUR lips and determine the course of YOUR life, if you will guard it above all else.  That means you cannot think, feel see, hear, or DO any better than your heart condition.

Are you having financial challenges that simply do not stop but keep on coming, one after another?  If so, look to your heart and the truths about finances it is sending forth.  If those "truths" are anything other than what God's Word says, they aren't truths at all.  They are deception and are misleading you and creating wrong thinking.  Wrong thinking will inevitably cause wrong actions.

So, let's produce right actions by changing the heart signals that create wrong thinking.  Start speaking to your heart the Scriptures that will change the financial course of your life.  Say with me now, "My heart hears the Word of the Lord.  It adds learning to my lips.  I am an heir to the blessings of Abraham.  I am a tither, and God promises that the windows of heaven are open to me.  Everything I put my hand to prospers.  I walk in the fullness of the Blessing, and God's Word shapes the course of my life.  If you said that with me, you've made a good start.  But remember, guarding your heart is a full time job.

Until next week,

2 Peter 1:2   May God’s grace and peace be multiplied
to you through the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
