Matters Of The Heart – Obedience Reaps The Reward

Hello Everyone,

Believing and speaking are how we shape the world we live in.  Our tongues bring what's in our hearts, whether good or bad, into the natural world and our experience.  Click the "Send To A Friend" box on the left or Subscribe Box (Click Here)  and share these thoughts about

We all want to be blessed.  But there's more to the blessings of God than simply believing and speaking.  If we are really believing God, we will trust Him.  If we really believe He is a good God, we will serve Him and obey Him wholeheartedly.  God is a rewarder, and He rewards faithfulness and obedience.  Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Abram was such a man, a man of principle who was totally committed to God's will and plan for his life.  And we know from the Scriptures that God greatly rewarded him.  The Hebrew word for reward is defined as payment of contract, wages, salary, or compensation.  God entered into a covenant with Abram and fulfilled His part of the covenant as if it were a payment of contract.

Understand that God is not indebted to any man, yet He, as an act of His will, obligates Himself to make good His Word in our lives, if we will obey and serve Him.  Isaiah 1:19 says If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: God is continually looking for a man or a woman to obey Him and His Word, so that He can bless them.  Psalm 84:11 says For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Gone are the days of our fleshly limitations.  No good thing will God withold from us!  Romans 8:32 says He that spared not his own son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Jesus came that we might have overflowing, abundant life.  We need to be in position to receive God's best!  So say with me now I stand before you Lord with my heart wide open.  Fill it with Your desires for my life that I may speak them into my experience and know the reward that flows from obedience.  And remember, friend, we’re standing with you and believing God for His very best in every area of your life – and that includes your complete prosperity.

Until next week,

2 Peter 1:2  May God’s grace and peace be multiplied
to you through the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
