Understanding Divine Healing

One of the most helpful verses for understanding divine healing was spoken by the Apostle Peter in Acts 10:38 ...God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Prior to His baptism, Jesus was not known for doing mighty works. But afterward the Scripture says He went about doing good and healing ALL who were overwhelmed by the daily pressures of life, for now God was with Him.
Hebrews 13:8 NLT tells us that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That means He is still going around doing good and healing all who are oppressed by the enemy, only the body empowered to do it is no longer a single human being. It includes YOU and ME! When Jesus said in Mark 16:18 NLT that believers ... will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed, He was talking about continuing His ministry through the believers. Unfortunately, many people misunderstand just who it is that heals the sick. Mark 16:20 NLT says And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs.
The Great Commission in Mark 16:15 NLT Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone said only that believers were to preach the Good News and that signs would follow. So declare with me, Lord, I thank you that you have commissioned me by your Grace and Power to heal the sick and set people free. I rejoice that I am an instrument in Your hands. If you said that with me, you just obeyed Jesus' command in Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me.... He is the Healer, and You are the messenger of the Good News. And remember, we're standing with you, friend, and believing God for His very best in every area of your life - and that includes your complete prosperity.
